19 Jul Mental Health & Creativity: Creative Talks Africa
Mental Health & Creativity
While many creative individuals in the performing and Visual Arts and Culture go about their soulful task of creating and innovating new projects that inform our everyday life-style, research shows that their mental health faces a detrimental decline. Significant cases of depression, anxiety disorder, drug abuse, schizophrenia and other reported mental health issues are some of the things affecting Creative genius.
At this month’s Creative Talks Africa session, our speaker – independent curator Robinah Nansubuga -will share the experiences and cases of mental illness she has encountered and how she has helped others navigate to reclaim their level of sanity whilst creating more art.
The Creative Talks Africa platform is a collaborative monthly series of intercultural dialogues hosted by KQ HUB AFRICA, Culture and Development East Africa & Design Hub Kampala.
