CreativeTalks Africa: Doreen Adengo

Welcome back to our second edition of the monthly CreativeTalks Africa. We are pleased to announce and welcome Doreen Adengo the Team Leader Adengo Architecture to speak at Design Hub Kampala

Doreen is an Architect, based in Kampala, Uganda. She leads Adengo Architecture, an architecture and urbanism practice grounded in research and multidisciplinary collaboration. Recent projects have focused on researching the housing crisis in Kampala, and developing affordable housing solutions. 

After completing her undergraduate and graduate studies at the Catholic University and Yale, respectively, she worked in London, Washington DC, and New York for Adjaye Associates, Robert A. M. Stern Architects, Ellerbe Becket, and Gruzen Samton Architects. She has taught at The New School and Pratt Institute in New York and at Makerere University in Kampala. 

Currently she is a part time lecturer at Makerere University’s intern training program and a visiting critic at University of Johannesburg’s Graduate School of Architecture.

She will be speaking on the theme: “Role of the Architect in the Creative & Innovative Industry”.
