World Down Syndrome Day

World Down Syndrome Day

Every 21st of March, organisations all over the world try to bring awareness to Down Syndrome by celebrating World Down Syndrome Day.

Global Down Syndrome Foundation, Global Livingstone Institute, the Uganda Down Syndrome Foundation, EMBRACEKULTURE, Angels Center for Children with special needs and Children’s Clinic Naalya partner up to celebrate this special day in Uganda.

This collaboration brings a fashion show that will take place at Design Hub. The runway will be filled with children with Down Syndrome who show their modelling skills.
There will be a donation box where you can put in a donation. All the donations will go towards a scheme saving up to purchase a diagnosis machine for Down syndrome in Uganda.

Prior to this fashion show on the 21st, there will be a week long health camp at Children’s Clinic Naalya where free healthcare will be given to every person and where a donation box will be in place. This is from Monday 18th until Sunday 24th of March.

On Saturday March 23rd, there will be a sponsored mountain hike on Mount Wanale in Mbale.
